Stephanie A. Emberley has performed as both a solo and collaborative pianist throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. Dr. Emberley has received awards for her performances from organizations such as the Anna Sosenko Assist Trust Grant and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement scholarship. She completed her doctoral degree at James Madison University and has Instructor Certification in the Lister-Sink Method of Piano Technique. She has studied with Lori Piitz, Barbara Lister-Sink, and Gabriel Dobner (collaborative).
Dr. Emberley regularly serves as an adjudicator, vocal coach, and masterclass artist. She enjoys musical activities that help community members as well as musicians. Many of her concerts are organized to raise funds for local charities and organizations. Dr. Emberley has dedicated much of her research to the benefits of natural movement. She has written a series of short articles and presentations about natural movement and holistic wellness for the College Music Society and other organizations.
